Mary Burger

Author

Mary Burger is a writer and multidisciplinary artist based in Oakland, California. She writes poetry and personal narratives that explore ways of knowing and being in relation.

Her book Then Go On from Litmus Press is a collection of short prose about conundrums of relation. Other books include Sonny (Leon Works), a novella about the Trinity atomic bomb test and a family’s dissolution, and A Partial Handbook for Navigators (Interbirth Books), writings on relationship to place. In her art practice she uses painting, fiber arts, and mixed media, working with geometric and biomorphic forms to trace a synesthesia of thinking.
